Zimbabwe was named the most popular wedding destination in 2022

New study by British service price comparison money.co.uk has identified the most popular destinations for weddings in 2022. 

Zimbabwe — country in South East Africa. The number of targeted searches in Zimbabwe increased by 56 percent compared to last year. It turned out that the country offers a huge number of the most incredible options for the ceremony: with elephants in wedding photos, and with the wedding night in a safari lodge, and with stunning views of the shores of Lake Kariba. 

Italy and South Africa are jointly second in the top 10 list, both seeing growth of 40 percent year on year. Both destinations offer happy couples a wealth of options and beautiful wedding venues, from idyllic villas nestled in the hills of Tuscany to beautiful South African vineyards in Stellenbosch. 

Portugal and Kenya are next on the list, coming in fourth and fifth, followed by countries known for their beautiful beaches. Thailand rounded out the top five most popular wedding destinations with a 23 percent increase in searches. That is, people who dream of a wedding in Phi Phi or Phuket have increased by almost a quarter over the year.

Jamaica is in seventh place, followed by Morocco, Brazil and Mexico.
