The Thailand Pass entry scheme will be canceled on July 1

The Thailand Pass became optional for Thai citizens from June 1, but remained mandatory for foreign citizens. And now, finally, on July 1, the authorities are abolishing all this red tape.

Everyone who has planned a trip to Thailand will still need to present — in printed or digital form — a copy of the vaccination certificate or a negative coronavirus test within the last 72 hours.

According to an update, sampling at Thailand's international airports or at land border checkpoints in 22 out of 77 provinces may be carried out. entry checks. Those deemed unvaccinated or incompletely vaccinated, along with those unable to provide evidence of a negative test prior to arrival, will be required to undergo a mandatory antigen test and wait for the results. 

Today, all 77 provinces of Thailand are “green” zones. This means that normal activities are now allowed throughout Thailand and there are no more restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic. True, all visitors and local residents are still required to follow basic hygiene rules for their own safety, as well as for the peace of others. 

Now, having opened all borders and allowed international tourism, Thailand is going to move to the next security level. The Thai government will announce new guidelines very soon for its population and naturally for foreign travelers.
