The emirate's strong performance in 2022 is underpinned by the opening of several new hotels and resorts. There are currently over 8 000 hotel rooms open in Ras Al Khaimah, with 4 617 more to come in the next few years.
Ras Al Khaimah today — one of the most sought after eco-friendly destinations in the Middle East, Time magazine recently included it in its 2022 list of the world's greatest destinations. The annual list of 50 must-see places on the planet singled out Ras al-Khaimah for its adventure tourism offerings and unique natural environment.
The biggest discovery was Jais Sledder — toboggan run along the slope of the Hajar mountain range. This is the longest toboggan run in the — over 1,840 meters of breathtaking hairpin turns at speeds up to 40 kilometers per hour. Jais Sledder has welcomed more than 54,000 visitors since opening in February this year.
Ras Al Khaimah — one of the first destinations in the region to recover to coronavirus levels. The authorities of the emirate expect that by the end of the year the number of tourists will exceed 1.11 million people, and the next year the tourist flow will fully recover.
