Tel Aviv airport bans all Boeing 747 and Airbus A380 from landing

All Boeing 747s and Airbus A380s will be banned from Tel Aviv Airport

The leadership of the air harbor stated that it had already informed the airlines about the innovation. Starting in the 2023 summer season (31 March), they will no longer be allowed to land large jets at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv. And this is just part of a massive plan to improve the environment.

Due to the widespread phasing out of 747s and other four-engine passenger aircraft, the ruling will mainly affect cargo flights.

Israel's national airline El Al no longer operates Boeing 747s, instead using twin-engine Boeing 777s and 787s on its long haul routes. International carriers use the same Boeing or similar Airbus aircraft to reach Ben Gurion, but some have upgraded comfortable Boeing 747s to carry cargo.
