Since 2014 all international commercial flights have relocated from the former Doha International Airport to nearby Hamad, which has since become a major hub for flag carrier Qatar Airways and is regularly recognized as the best airport in the world by the Skytrax World Airport Awards.
So far, Qatari authorities have not commented moving from Hamad back to Doha airport, but Jazeera Airways of Kuwait, as well as flydubai, SalamAir of Oman and Pegasus Airlines of Turkey, sell tickets to Doha airport for dates starting September 15.
