Norway to test all third-country nationals subject to deportation

Norway will test all third-country nationals subject to deportation

A statement by the Norwegian government clarifies the situation. It turns out that many countries still require citizens returning from abroad to test negative for COVID-19. Thus, persons who are to be deported under the laws of Norway may become violators in their home country without being pre-tested.

Therefore, officials propose to activate temporary legal provisions that will be in effect until July 1 2023.

In addition, according to the statement, Norway may well resume the practice of testing tests on all travelers in the coming months.

According to data provided by the World Health Organization (WHO), from the beginning of the coronavirus outbreak in Norway, a total of 1,430,841 cases of COVID-19 infection have been reported, a total of 3,094 people have died.

As of May 15, 2022, a total of 11,305,805 people have been introduced in the country doses of the vaccine.

Despite the rapid spread of new varieties of coronavirus, the Norwegian authorities were among the first to lift all measures and restrictions. This happened back in February 2022.

At the same time, the Ministry of Health made a footnote: all persons who show any symptoms are required to undergo mandatory testing.

At the moment, many European countries lifted most of the restrictions imposed due to the coronavirus.
