Not a problem for those who know about the existence of installment plans for tours and have already used it. And for those who do not yet know anything about it or have a vague idea, Subtleties have prepared this material.

First of all: when they say “installment plan” – they do not always mean it. Sometimes this name may hide a loan or a service that combines both an installment plan and a loan. Several types of programs are now available to travelers: installment, credit and Paylate installments. They are issued for different periods and offer different conditions. The main thing to do when choosing one or another type of tour purchase is to read the terms of the contract very carefully. Let's understand the terms. Installment implies either a complete absence of overpayment, or an overpayment of up to 1 %, it is usually provided for a period of 30 days to 6 months. Credit, of course, results in additional costs in excess of the cost of the tour and is issued for up to 3 years. Paylate– in fact, a hybrid scheme: up to a certain point (30-90 days) it works like an installment plan, that is, interest will not accrue if you pay everything on time, and if not, after the grace period expires, the carriage turns into a poke … into a regular loan. And its conditions, by the way, may turn out to be tougher than those of “just a loan” (see the phrase above about “read carefully”).

How much a tour can cost, for which you can get an installment plan, depends on the specific tour operator or aggregator service. Somewhere the price of a trip should not exceed 250,000 RUB, somewhere an installment plan is available for any tours that can be booked through the site. Also, some tour operators provide installments in the presence of credit cards of certain banks and other special conditions. And you can find such options almost at the entire “big” of the tourist market.

Installment plan is a good option for those who like to take a trip on inspiration, but do not always have the right amount.

Requirements and procedures

As a rule, installments for tours are given to persons from 18 to 65 years old who have a Russian passport, a residence permit inside the country, a stable confirmed income (you need to work in one place for at least 3-4 months) and a good credit history.

Registration usually goes in a “semi-manual” mode: you need to select a tour, enter all the data, indicate in the application that the tour is purchased in installments/credit/through the Paylate system. After that, a call from the manager will follow, who will clarify the necessary details. One of the nice things is the ability to start paying for the trip only after you go on it. But this point must be fixed when making an installment plan.

Installment payments or loans can be paid personally through post offices, banks, using banking applications and payment terminals (in some places they take a commission), through the accounting department of the enterprise where the tourist works.
