58th edition < strong>Annual Safety Report is a global overview and analysis of industry safety performance for 2021. It contains both global and regional accident statistics, including:
– Overview and analysis of global and regional accident rates and factors contributing to incidents;
– Actions with recommendations, accident prevention guidelines and measures developed by the Accident Classification Task Force (ACTF);
– Regional overview of safety performance and related targeted risk management activities;
– Information on of airlines in the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) registry
The report highlights significant improvement in several areas compared to 2020, in particular:
– Reduction in the total number of accidents and fatalities;
– Absence of fatal accidents among airlines included in the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) registry
– Absence of deviations from runway, taxiways, ground damage accidents for the first time in at least 15 years.
