Etihad Airways bought its first Airbus A350

Flight number 1 left Abu Dhabi for Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport with a delegation of senior diplomats, Etihad and Airbus representatives, the media, trade partners and other VIPs. 

Etihad Group Chief Executive Officer Tony Douglas commented on the purchase: “Airbus A350 &mdash ; absolutely incredible plane. We are proud to present it on the Etihad Airways network. Our teams have worked closely to develop product and travel offerings that ensure every flight with Etihad — it's the right choice for both our guests and the planet.”

Named Sustainability50, the aircraft features a unique livery in recognition of the UAE's fiftieth anniversary and the airline's commitment to zero carbon emissions. 2050.
