Ethiopian Airlines ordered Africa's first Airbus A350-1000 aircraft

Ethiopian Airlines Group — Ethiopia's flag carrier, Africa's largest airline, has agreed with a French manufacturer to replace four A350-900s on order with the largest of the A350 family — A350-1000. There have never been such giants in Africa.

The A350-1000 will increase the capacity of Ethiopian Airlines on the busiest routes. According to experts, the airline will certainly benefit from the flexible maneuvering capabilities of the same type of aircraft with a different number of seats.

The A350 features modern aerodynamics, a carbon fiber fuselage and wings, as well as the most fuel-efficient Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines. Together, these latest technologies provide Ethiopian Airlines with unrivaled levels of operational efficiency, as well as a 25% reduction in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions compared to previous generation twin-engine aircraft.
