Cyprus Airways announced additional flights to Athens

Cyprus Airways announced the day before additional flights to the Greek capital from 27 to 30 October. At the end of October, the people of both countries celebrate one of the most important national public holidays in Greece — OHI Day. On this day, every year, countries raise their national flags and honor the memory of the heroes of the Resistance who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of Greece, defending their homeland in World War II.

Demand for the holiday weekend is traditionally high, and even there, and back. The airline responded by offering two additional flights.

Cyprus Airways, the flag carrier of Cyprus, resumed operations in 2016. The airline operates a fleet of Airbus A319s and two Airbus A320s, which currently operate seven scheduled flights to Athens, Thessaloniki, Heraklion, Beirut, Tel Aviv, Yerevan and Rhodes.

According to the airline, tickets have already arrived for sale.
