Club Med has officially opened its newest European resort Club Med Magna Marbella. This is a historic return of the brand to Spain, as the very first Club Med resort was founded in the Balearic Islands in 1950. And so, on May 20, 2022, the brand new family resort received its first guests in one of the most mythical places in Spain with breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea and next to the vibrant city of Marbella.
Nestled in Spain's Andalusia region, at the foot of the Sierra Blanca, Club Med is a new 4-star family-friendly resort set in 14 hectares of colorful gardens and terraces. Resort overlooking the Mediterranean and close to the vibrant city of Marbella — a true oasis of untouched greenery and lush flora.
The combination of tradition and modernity is reflected in all the architecture and design of the resort along with the art, culture and nature of Marbella. A variety of accommodation options, including 485 rooms, are ideal for any type of traveler — from families and couples to solo travelers and large groups.
The resort's two restaurants and three bars offer carefully selected local dishes and drinks. The Suenos main restaurant is in the heart of the resort, while the Tierra Gourmet Lounge welcomes guests all day long with a lively bar, wine cellar and gourmet snack bar ideal for tasting Spanish wines, live music and tapas.
The resort is equipped with solar panels that will generate energy for heating water, as well as a system for collecting and purifying rainwater to irrigate the gardens.
Over 25 sports and activities are included in your stay at Club Med Magna Marbella, such as zen yoga, aerial fitness, golf, trapeze, archery, beach volleyball and paddle tennis. It features five swimming pools, including an indoor freshwater pool, a main lagoon pool, an exclusive adult zen pool, a dedicated children's pool and a family-friendly water park area. For those looking to unwind, CINQ MONDES' Club Med Spa features a steam room, 14 treatment rooms and an exclusive indoor and outdoor relaxation room for added privacy.
While adults enjoy the wellness activities, kids can write their own holiday stories at Club Med's award-winning kids' clubs, with plenty of one-on-one activities for kids and teens ages 4 months to 17.
Families can also take part in the Club Med Amazing Family — An exciting selection of weekly activities to bring families together and create memories for a lifetime. Among them: paddle tennis tournaments, walks in the nearby “white cities”; Pueblos Blancos, Andalusian garden parties with unlimited sangria, tapas and wines, and a day out in the family fun area with exciting waterslides, a variety of water attractions, games, mini golf and zip line.

Club Med Magna Marbella is conveniently located just off Spain's south coast, just a 20-minute walk from sandy Mediterranean beaches and Marbella city centre. It is about an hour's drive from Gibraltar, Ronda and Malaga, making the resort an ideal starting point for discovering the region's rich Arab-Andalusian history and natural wonders.
