Airbus has confirmed the signing of orders with Air China, China Eastern, China Southern and Shenzhen Airlines for a total of 292 A320 family aircraft. According to experts, this indicates a positive recovery dynamics and favorable prospects for the Chinese aviation market.
Airbus Commercial Director Christian Scherer said: “The new orders demonstrate great confidence in Airbus from customers. China praises the performance, quality, fuel efficiency and environmental friendliness of the world's leading family of narrow-body aircraft.
More than 2,070 Airbus aircraft were in service with Chinese operators by the end of May 2022.
The A320neo family includes next-generation engines and redesigned wingtip sharklets that combine to deliver at least 20% fuel and CO2 savings as well as 50% noise reduction. Airbus 45 cm seats in Economy Class are standard on the A320neo.
As of the end of May 2022, over 8,000 orders have been registered from over 130 customers for this Airbus model.
< p>Since entering service six years ago, Airbus has delivered more than 2,200 aircraft of the A320neo family, saving 15 million tonnes of CO2.
