Carnival Celebration's newest ship successfully completes sea trials

On board Carnival Celebration, in addition to the team, there are technicians and engineers whose job it is to check the technical, mechanical and navigational characteristics of the ship. First commercial flight of Carnival Celebration — six-day Caribbean cruise — starts November 21st. It will be followed by a seven-day trip to the Caribbean.

On board the new liner — the largest in the Carnival — the world's first real rollercoaster, three-deck high atrium, Guy's Pig & Anchor, the Big Chicken restaurant of the famous basketball player Shaquille O'Neal and other unique areas.

During sea trials, maneuvering, endurance, steering, and thrusters have already been tested. According to Captain Vincenzo Alcaraz, “The ship has performed superbly and will soon be at sea for real cruises.”

In August, Carnival Cruise Line changed its COVID-19 testing guidelines, no longer forcing fully vaccinated passengers to do tests on voyages of less than 16 nights.

In September, the cruise line added the Carnival Luminosa to its fleet. The ship was taken over from a subsidiary of Costa Cruises.
