Air New Zealand has received this award for the seventh time since 2013 for its innovative SkyNest Economy Bed design, operational safety, environmental leadership and employee motivation.
The New Zealand airline was ahead of previous winners Qatar Airways (2021, 2022), Etihad Airways, Korean Airlines and Singapore Airlines in the fight for first place.
The organizers note that the top five received very close results. At the same time, the “New Zealand” won over the jury with their dedication to economy class passengers, offering more comfort options on long-haul flights than any other airline.
Top 25: Air New Zealand, Qatar Airways, Etihad Airways, Korean Air, Singapore Airlines, Qantas, Virgin Australia/Virgin Atlantic, EVA Air, Cathay Pacific Airways, Emirates, Lufthansa/Swiss, SAS, TAP Portugal, All Nippon Airways, Delta Air Lines, Air Canada, British Airways, Jet Blue, JAL, Vietnam Airlines, Turkish Airlines, Hawaiian, KLM, Alaska Airlines and United Airlines.
Air New Zealand also won Best Economy Class and Qatar Airways won Best Business Class and Best Inflight Catering for the fourth year in a row.
Singapore Airlines won First Class and Virgin Australia/Virgin Atlantic had the best flight attendants.
Best in-flight entertainment and best premium economy went to Emirates, while Qantas won the best lounges.
Air Baltic is recognized as the best regional airline.
In the long-haul segment, the alignment of forces is as follows: Middle East – Qatar Airways, North Asia – Korean Air, Northern Europe – Lufthansa, North America – Delta Air Lines, South Americas – Latam, Southern Europe – Turkish Airlines, South East Asia – Singapore Airlines, Australia/Pacific – Air New Zealand, African airline – Air Mauritius.
Best Low Cost Airline: Americas – Southwest, Middle East – Fly Dubai, Asia – AirAsia, Australia/Pacific – Jetstar and Europe – Ryanair. and “Best hospitality on board a low-cost airline.”
